Amends Section 36-25-5 of the Code Alabama 1975 to add a new subsection (g) establishing conditions under which public employees may receive rewards for exemplary service without violating ethics laws regarding use of official position for personal gain.

Allows public employees to receive unsolicited third-party rewards for exemplary public service if the reward is determined by the rewarding party to be justified by the employee's exemplary service.

Requires the Ethics Commission to be notified by the rewarding individual or entity prior to issuing the reward, including the employee's name, description of exemplary service provided, and dollar amount of the reward.

Becomes effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor or upon otherwise becoming law.
