• Amends Section 45-2-70.01 of the Code of Alabama 1975 to change Baldwin County Commission member compensation from a fixed $32,000 annual minimum to an amount based on the previous four-year average of the median annual household income in Alabama.

• Commission chair receives additional $5,000 per annum compensation, payable in equal monthly installments from the county general fund.

• The State Department of Labor determines and adjusts compensation amounts each four-year term, effective November 1 of the first year of each term.

• Compensation increases or decreases are capped at 5 percent per four-year term.

• Commissioners must waive in writing any other compensation increases under Section 11-2A-4 to be eligible for increases under this section; salaries revert to November 1, 2004 levels if the number of commissioners increases or they are no longer elected at-large countywide.
