Amends Section 13A-12-27 of the Code of Alabama 1975 to create an enhanced penalty for possession of a gambling device when profits exceed $10,000.

Possession of a gambling device remains a Class A misdemeanor under current law, but becomes a Class C felony if the defendant profits therefrom in an amount exceeding $10,000.

Excludes the bill from Amendment 621 requirements because it defines a new crime or amends the definition of an existing crime.

Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor, or upon becoming law by other means.
