Create the Residential Sprinkler Installation and Life Safety Task Force composed of 8 members: three fire safety professionals appointed by the Joint Fire Council, two sprinkler installation contractors appointed by the Associated Builders and Contractors, one sprinkler installation contractor appointed by the Alabama Fire Sprinkler Association, one at-large person appointed by the Alabama Homebuilders Association, and one person appointed by the Alabama Fire College.

Task force shall develop and report to the Legislature before the 2015 Regular Session a suggested curriculum and standards for proper installation of residential sprinkler systems while ensuring adequate sprinkler coverage and maintaining life safety practices.

Task force members shall appoint a chair and serve without compensation, but may be reimbursed for expenses related to attending meetings consistent with policies of their appointing authorities.
