• Creates the Alzheimer's Disease Task Force consisting of 28 categories of members including state agency heads, legislative representatives, industry representatives, and persons affected by Alzheimer's disease.

• Task force shall assess the current and future impact of Alzheimer's disease on Alabama residents, examine existing long-term care services and resources, and develop a state strategy to address the dementia crisis.

• Task force must examine demographic trends, existing services and capacity, quality care measures, law enforcement capability, caregiver support resources, research initiatives, and health disparities for minority populations.

• Task force shall hold public meetings, gather feedback through technological means, and submit findings and recommendations in the form of a State Alzheimer's Disease Plan to the Governor and Legislature no later than March 1, 2014.

• Members serve without compensation, and total task force expenditures shall not exceed $1,000; the Department of Mental Health shall provide administrative support.
