Nominates Officer Mark Green of the Birmingham Police Department for the 2014 Alabama Legislative Medal of Honor for Law Enforcement, the state's highest law enforcement award for extraordinary courage.

On February 10, 2013, while off-duty en route to work, Officer Green observed a burning vehicle on Carson Road in Center Point, Alabama and rescued two male occupants from the fully engulfed car.

Officer Green pulled the first victim to safety, then returned to the burning vehicle to rescue the second victim who was trapped and unable to escape on his own.

Captain Edwin "Brad" Appleton of the Center Point Fire District stated that without Officer Green's actions, both occupants would likely have died.

The resolution directs that Officer Green receive a copy as evidence of the legislature's admiration and esteem.
