Recognizes Officer Jonathan Robbins of the Birmingham Police Department as a nominee for the 2014 Alabama Legislative Medal of Honor for Law Enforcement.

On December 1, 2013, Officer Robbins, along with Officers Travis Hendrix and Henry Higgins, responded to an interstate bridge incident on I-59 at the I-65 interchange where a pedestrian threatened suicide.

Officer Robbins and the other officers grabbed Officer Demarcus Mitchell and the suicidal subject to prevent both from falling over the bridge railing.

Commends Officer Robbins for demonstrating deft-thinking, bravery, and dedication to duty in preserving lives during the crisis.

House adopted the resolution on 18-MAR-14 and Senate adopted it on 19-MAR-14.
