Commends Officer Travis Hendrix of the Birmingham Police Department as a 2014 Alabama Legislative Medal of Honor for Law Enforcement nominee.

On December 1, 2013, Officer Hendrix along with Officers Jonathan Robbins and Henry Higgins responded to assist Officer Demarcus Mitchell at an I-59/I-65 interchange where a pedestrian threatened suicide from a bridge railing.

Officer Hendrix and the other officers grabbed Officer Mitchell and the suicidal pedestrian to prevent both from falling over the edge, demonstrating quick thinking and bravery that preserved lives.

Directs that Officer Hendrix receive a copy of the resolution as recognition of his dedication to duty and professional response during the crisis situation.
