Nominates Deputy Jeff Mulkin of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office for the 2014 Alabama Legislative Medal of Honor for Law Enforcement, the state's highest law enforcement award.

On July 17, 2013, Deputy Mulkin and Deputy Jason Orr discovered a medical emergency on I-65 south near Fultondale and provided CPR to a 53-year-old man suffering a suspected heart attack until paramedics arrived.

The man regained his pulse and began breathing after the deputies' intervention and would not have survived without their efforts, as confirmed when they visited him in the hospital the next day.

Deputy Mulkin received the Sheriff's Office Life Saving Medal for this incident and is recognized for his dedicated service contributing to public safety in Jefferson County.

House adopted the resolution on March 18, 2014, and the Senate adopted it on March 19, 2014.
