Recognizes Officer James Walker of the Monroeville Police Department as a nominee for the 2014 Alabama Legislative Medal of Honor for Law Enforcement.

On October 21, 2013, Officer Walker responded to an apartment fire and discovered a tenant unconscious inside the smoke-filled unit.

Officer Walker entered the burning apartment, crawled through heavy smoke, located the unconscious man on the kitchen floor, and dragged him to safety outside.

Both Officer Walker and the tenant were transported to a local hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.

Directs that Officer Walker receive a copy of this resolution as recognition of his extraordinary courage and dedication in the line of duty.
