Commends Grace McClellan, a seven-year-old second-grader at Fayette Elementary School, for her outstanding achievement at Camp Courage in October 2013.

Camp Courage is a three-day intensive program for visually impaired and hearing impaired children ages 7-14, held at Ivy Green (Helen Keller's birthplace) in Tuscumbia, Alabama, and sponsored by the Helen Keller Birthplace Foundation, American Optometric Association Foundation, and universities.

Grace participated in the inaugural session of Camp Courage, which included educational, social, and inspirational activities such as arts and crafts, music, drama, field trips, and discussions.

The resolution recognizes Grace's diligent pursuit of excellence and her loving, vibrant personality, noting her ambition to become a nurse and her interests in reading and painting.
