Urges Congress to enact the Pulmonary Fibrosis Research Enhancement Act and increase federal funding for pulmonary fibrosis research.

Notes that 40,000 U.S. citizens die annually from pulmonary fibrosis, with 48,000 newly diagnosed annually and over 200,000 potentially living with the disease; cases have increased more than 150 percent since 2001.

Identifies that pulmonary fibrosis causes the same number of deaths as breast cancer, lacks an FDA-approved treatment or cure, and has a median patient survival rate of 2.8 years.

Commends Bill Connelley of Montgomery, Alabama, and his family and friends for their efforts to raise public awareness of pulmonary fibrosis.

Directs that copies of the resolution be forwarded to Bill Connelley, members of the Alabama Congressional Delegation, and the President of the United States.
