Commends Dezirae Wilbanks, an eight-year-old second-grader at Threadgill Primary School, for her outstanding achievement as a trailblazer at Camp Courage in October 2013.

Camp Courage is a three-day intensive program for visually impaired and hearing impaired children ages 7-14, held at Ivy Green (Helen Keller's birthplace) in Tuscumbia, Alabama.

Camp Courage is sponsored by the Helen Keller Birthplace Foundation and American Optometric Association Foundation, in conjunction with the University of North Alabama and University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Recognizes Wilbanks for her entertaining and happy personality and her diligent pursuit of excellence at a young age.
