Recognizes the 22nd Annual Delta Day at the Alabama State Capitol on Tuesday, February 18, 2014, and commends Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.

Acknowledges Delta Sigma Theta as a sisterhood founded January 13, 1913, by 22 collegiate women at Howard University, now with more than 250,000 members in over 1,000 chapters throughout the United States and abroad.

Highlights the sorority's national Five Point Program: Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health, and Political Awareness and Involvement.

Honors Delta Sigma Theta members serving or who have served in the Alabama Legislature, including Senator Linda Coleman, Representatives Laura Hall and Merika Coleman, and notable national members including Congresswomen Shirley Chisholm and Barbara Jordan.

Presents the resolution to Cheryl W. Turner, Southern Regional Director, recognizing the organization's significant contributions to educational, civic, and social advancement.
