Commends Mr. James Sanford of Prattville upon his induction into the Hall of Honor by the Auburn University Agricultural Alumni Association on February 13, 2014.

Recognizes Sanford as a fifth-generation farmer from the McQueen-Smith family farm in Autauga County, operating since 1881, who earned Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (1968) and Master of Science in Economics (1971) from Auburn University.

Acknowledges Sanford's significant agricultural contributions including designing computer systems that revolutionized farming operations and serving as President of the Autauga Quality Cotton Association, a nine-state cotton marketing organization.

Highlights his leadership roles chairing the Alabama Cotton Commission, Choice Cotton Incorporated, Auburn Research and Technology Foundation, and the Birmingham Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.

Notes his March 2012 gubernatorial appointment and State Senate confirmation to the Auburn University Board of Trustees, and that he is married to Dot Hardage Sanford with three children.
