Commends Nicholas Hilburn, an 18-year-old senior free safety for Vestavia Hills High School, for tackling and subduing a purse-snatcher at The Summit shopping center in Birmingham on February 17, 2014.

Recognizes Hilburn's exceptional courage and athletic ability in apprehending the 29-year-old suspect without regard to personal danger, motivated by witnessing the crime and encouraged by an off-duty law enforcement officer.

Notes that the stolen purse was successfully returned to the 60-year-old victim as a result of Hilburn's actions.

Directs that a copy of this resolution be provided to Nicholas Hilburn as evidence of the esteem in which he is held by the Alabama House of Representatives.
