Commends Kendale Palmer, a six-year-old kindergartner at Vina Elementary School, for her outstanding achievement at Camp Courage in October 2013.

Camp Courage is an intensive three-day program for visually impaired and hearing impaired children held at Ivy Green, the historic birthplace of Helen Keller in Tuscumbia, Alabama.

Camp Courage is sponsored by the Helen Keller Birthplace Foundation and the American Optometric Association Foundation in conjunction with the University of North Alabama and the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Kendale Palmer participated in the inaugural session of Camp Courage, which included educational, social, and inspirational activities such as arts and crafts, music, drama, field trips, and discussions.

The House of Representatives honors and commends Kendale Palmer for her diligent pursuit of excellence and offers best wishes for her continuing success.
