Grace McClellan, a seven-year-old second-grader at Fayette Elementary School, is commended for her outstanding achievement as a trailblazer at Camp Courage in October 2013 at Ivy Green in Tuscumbia, Alabama.

Grace McClellan was selected for the inaugural session of Camp Courage, a three-day intensive program for visually impaired and hearing impaired children ages 7-14 sponsored by the Helen Keller Birthplace Foundation and the American Optometric Association Foundation.

Camp Courage activities included educational, social, and inspirational components such as arts and crafts, music, drama, field trips, and discussions.

The House of Representatives of the Legislature of Alabama honors and commends Grace McClellan for her diligent pursuit of excellence and extends best wishes for her continuing success.
