Commends Dezirae Wilbanks, an 8-year-old second-grader at Threadgill Primary School, for her outstanding achievement as a trailblazer at Camp Courage in October 2013.

Camp Courage is a three-day intensive program for visually and hearing impaired children ages 7-14, held at Ivy Green (Helen Keller's historic birthplace) in Tuscumbia, Alabama.

Camp Courage is sponsored by the Helen Keller Birthplace Foundation and American Optometric Association Foundation in conjunction with the University of North Alabama and University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Recognizes Wilbanks for her entertaining personality, diligent pursuit of excellence, and exceptional participation in Camp Courage's educational, social, and inspirational activities.
