• Recognizes March 11, 2014, as Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated, Day in Alabama.

• Omega Psi Phi Fraternity was founded in 1911 at Howard University in Washington, D.C., and now operates more than 700 chapters across the United States and worldwide.

• Alabama has 25 chapters (12 graduate and 13 undergraduate) that volunteered over 12,000 hours and donated several thousand dollars during fiscal year 2012-2013 to uplift communities and promote social, economic, and intellectual achievement.

• The organization has played a progressive, cooperative, and constructive role in civic and political life for more than 100 years.

• A copy of the resolution is directed to be presented to Mr. David Marion, Seventh District Representative.
