Commends Kassidy Gean, a 12-year-old sixth-grader at Rogers Elementary School in Lauderdale County, for outstanding achievement as a trailblazer at Camp Courage in October 2013.

Camp Courage is a three-day intensive program for visually impaired and hearing impaired children ages 7-14, held at Ivy Green (Helen Keller's birthplace) in Tuscumbia, Alabama.

Camp Courage is sponsored by the Helen Keller Birthplace Foundation, American Optometric Association Foundation, University of North Alabama, and University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Kassidy Gean participated in the inaugural Camp Courage session featuring educational, social, and inspirational activities including arts, music, drama, field trips, and discussions.

The House of Representatives honors Kassidy Gean for her diligent pursuit of excellence and extends best wishes for her continuing success.
