Commends Christlin Hester, an eight-year-old second-grader at Phil Campbell Elementary School in Russellville, Alabama, for outstanding achievement as a trailblazer at Camp Courage in October 2013.

Camp Courage is a three-day intensive program for visually impaired and hearing impaired children ages 7-14, held at Ivy Green (Helen Keller's birthplace) in Tuscumbia, Alabama, and sponsored by the Helen Keller Birthplace Foundation and American Optometric Association Foundation.

The camp included educational, social, and inspirational activities such as arts and crafts, music, drama, field trips, and discussions.

Recognizes Christlin Hester for her diligent pursuit of excellence and sparkling personality, with interests in reading, dolls, and traveling.
