Commends Dr. Dorla Evans on her retirement as Professor of Finance at The University of Alabama in Huntsville after a 22-year career in faculty, department chair, and assistant dean roles.

Recognizes her teaching excellence and mentoring, including receipt of the Student Government Association's Outstanding Student Organization Advisor Award, University-wide Distinguished Teaching Award, and College of Business Administration's Undergraduate Outstanding Teacher Award.

Highlights her founding of the Capital Management Group course in 1997 and the UAH Entrepreneurship Club in 2010, as well as her mentorship in helping students secure internships and employment.

Acknowledges her accomplished publishing career in bonds and behavioral finance, including her first Harvard Business Review editorial as an MBA graduate and subsequent publications in prestigious journals including the Journal of Political Economy and Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization.

Notes her distinction as the first UAH business professor to earn a National Science Foundation research grant and her 1999 designation as Distinguished Faculty Fellow.
