On February 10, 2013, while off-duty and en route to work, Officer Green rescued two men from a burning vehicle on Carson Road in Center Point, Alabama after it struck a guard rail and caught fire

Officer Green pulled both the driver and passenger from the vehicle to safety as it became completely engulfed in flames, preventing what the fire captain indicated would likely have resulted in two fatalities

Directs that Officer Green receive a copy of the resolution as evidence of the legislature's admiration and esteem for his heroic actions and dedicated service to Birmingham citizens
