Commends Attorney Julian D. Butler of Huntsville for his outstanding accomplishments and recognition as a distinguished 2014 Pioneer Awardee.

Butler served as County Attorney for Madison County for approximately 35 years and held the position of president of the National Association of County Civil Attorneys.

Butler is a Fellow of the Alabama Law Foundation and graduate of The University of Alabama School of Law who has served as leader of The Arts Council, the Center for Public Law and Service, the Huntsville UA Alumni Association chapter, the Creek District of the Boy Scouts of America, and the Environmental Law Section of the Alabama State Bar.

Butler has received recognition for "exceptional and extraordinary service" in the field of Civil Rights from the Jefferson County Progressive Democratic Council.

Directs that a copy of the resolution be provided to Butler in admiration and appreciation for being a distinguished 2014 Pioneer Awardee.
