Nominates Officer A.S. Wright of the Montgomery Police Department as a nominee for the 2014 Alabama Legislative Medal of Honor for Law Enforcement, the state's highest law enforcement award.

Recognizes Officer Wright's extraordinary courage during a August 12, 2013 suicide intervention call where he and three other officers responded to a man barricaded in an attic with a cable cord around his neck.

Commends the officers for reasoning with the subject during a critical period while he cycled through emotional states, lost and regained consciousness, and repeatedly threatened to end his life.

Honors the officers' quick thinking and determination in successfully freeing the subject from the cable cord and saving his life despite personal risk.

Directs that Officer Wright receive a copy of the resolution as evidence of the legislature's admiration and esteem.
