Commends William C. Pippin for his extraordinary service to Huntsville Utilities since July 1985, serving as President and Chief Executive Officer for the last 21 years.

Recognizes Pippin's exceptional leadership in guiding Huntsville Utilities through periods of growth and adverse weather events including the Airport Road Tornado of 1989, Blizzard of March 1993, Ice Storms in 1994 and 1996, and the Tornado Outbreak in April 2011.

Acknowledges Pippin's over 40 years of service to the utility industry including leadership roles with the Tennessee Valley Public Power Association, Electric Cities of Alabama, and receipt of the Richard C. Crawford Distinguished Service Award in 2012.

Highlights Huntsville Utilities' recognition for safety and operational excellence under Pippin's leadership from organizations including the American Public Power Association, National Safety Council, EPA, and Tennessee Valley Authority.
