Commends Bishop Rance Allen for his lifetime dedicated preaching and music ministry, particularly for his participation in the 30th Pastoral Anniversary of Pastor T.C. Johnson at St. Luke Christian Church in Huntsville.

Recognizes Bishop Allen's ordination as an Elder in the Church of God in Christ (COGIC) in 1978, after beginning his spiritual ministry at age five and being licensed to preach at age 12.

Honors The Rance Allen Group, formed with his brothers over 40 years ago, which won four Stellar Awards, three Grammy nominations, a Dove Award nomination, and a Soul Train Music Award nomination, and was inducted into the International Gospel Music Hall of Fame and Museum in November 1998.

Acknowledges Bishop Allen's recognition as one of the Great Men of Gospel by The Black Academy of Arts and Letters.

Directs that a copy of this resolution be provided to Bishop Allen on behalf of the people of the State of Alabama.
