Recognize and commend Parkside Elementary School in Cullman County for receiving the International Reading Association's (IRA) Exemplary Reading Program Award for the State of Alabama.

The IRA award recognizes outstanding reading and language arts programs at all grade levels across schools.

Credit the school's students, parents, dedicated teaching staff, and administrators for the team effort that achieved this honor.

The IRA will formally honor Parkside Elementary at its May 9, 2014, annual convention in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Direct that a copy of the resolution be presented to Principal Richard Orr for placement within the school.
