SB110 Summary

• Amends Section 12-2-19 of the Code of Alabama 1975 to remove the requirement that Supreme Court rules of practice and procedure be published in the Acts of Alabama.

• Retains the requirement that Supreme Court rules be filed with the Clerk of the Supreme Court, published in the official report of decisions, and certified to the Secretary of State.

• Rules must still be published in any code of Alabama laws when codes are published or in pocket supplements to codes.

• Effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor or upon becoming law.

• Senate passed February 12, 2014; House passed March 18, 2014.
