Establishes regulatory framework for tanning facilities in Alabama, which were previously unregulated under existing law.

Prohibits persons under age 15 from using tanning devices, with exceptions: ages 16-17 require written parental/guardian consent signed at the facility; age 15 requires written consent and parental presence during device operation; age 14 and under may only use devices if prescribed by physician, but may receive spray tans.

Requires all tanning device users to wear protective eyewear.

Mandates written parental/guardian consent forms include a specific warning statement about ultraviolet radiation risks, including eye and skin injury, premature aging, skin cancer, allergic reactions, and medication interactions.

Becomes effective on the first day of the sixth month following passage and gubernatorial approval.
