• Requires omission of residential and mailing addresses for registered voters who are domestic violence victims or custodians of minor domestic violence victims from all generally available voter registration lists upon written signed affidavit to the board of registrars.

• Allows voters to certify either that they or a minor in their legal custody is or has been a domestic violence victim under Alabama Code Section 13A-6-130, or that a domestic violence protection order has been issued by a judge or magistrate.

• Applies redaction requirements to all voter lists made public, including poll lists, absentee voter lists, and computerized statewide voter registration lists, while maintaining full information in lists provided to federal and state agencies.

• Exceptions to redaction include poll lists used at local precincts, which remain unaffected by these provisions.

• Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and gubernatorial approval.
