Amends Alabama Code Section 16-22-1 to add Faulkner University to the list of educational institutions authorized to appoint police officers.

Grants Faulkner University's president or chief executive officer the authority to appoint and employ suitable persons as police officers to protect campus property and prevent trespass and damage.

Requires appointed police officers to carry and be trained in the proper use of nonlethal weapons while on duty.

Defines a nonlethal weapon as one designed to immediately incapacitate a person while minimizing fatalities and permanent injury, with a reversible effect on the targeted person.

Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
