• Provides a 6% salary increase for certificated K-12 public education employees beginning fiscal year 2014-2015, with increases applied according to experience steps on the State Minimum Salary Schedule.

• Provides education support personnel with either a $1,000 or 6% pay increase, whichever is greater, for fiscal year 2014-2015 and thereafter.

• Establishes 8% or $1,000 (whichever is greater) pay increase for two-year postsecondary institution employees effective fiscal year 2014-2015.

• Provides similar 6% pay increases to employees of the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind, Board of Youth Services School District, Alabama School of Fine Arts, and Alabama School of Mathematics and Science.

• Provides a 6% cost-of-living adjustment to retirement benefits for Teachers' Retirement System retirees whose effective retirement date was prior to October 1, 2013, with a minimum monthly increase of $25.
