Amends Section 16-60-111.9 of the Code of Alabama 1975 to modify interim appointment procedures for presidents of two-year postsecondary schools and colleges under the State Board of Education.

Authorizes the Chancellor of Postsecondary Education to appoint interim executive officers to serve as presidents of two-year schools or colleges for terms determined by the Chancellor to be in the institution's best interests.

Replaces the previous limitation that allowed boards to temporarily fill the position for no more than two six-month periods with discretionary term lengths at the Chancellor's determination.

Permits interim executive officers to be considered for permanent positions and specifies that temporary employment experience cannot be applied toward job experience requirements.

Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
