• Eliminates the requirement to publish registered voter lists and election notices in newspapers of general circulation, requiring instead that this information be posted on county websites or the Association of County Commissions of Alabama website if the county has no website.

• Requires voter registration lists and election information to be made available upon request at a reasonable cost from the judge of probate's office and posted for review in other public buildings.

• Mandates counties place display advertisements in newspapers (at least one-half page for voter lists, at least one-quarter page for other election information) informing the public where online and offline to obtain voter lists and election notices.

• Maintains the requirement to publish lists of voters to be removed during statewide voter file maintenance in newspapers, but also requires posting on county websites.

• Becomes effective immediately upon passage and applies to any election cycle commencing after the effective date.
