Designates the portion of Cox Creek Parkway and Alabama Highway 133 in the Florence area from near the north end of Wilson Dam northward to the intersection of Cox Creek Parkway and Huntsville Road at milepost 9.797 as the "Lieutenant Colonel R. Edward 'Ed' Yeilding Parkway."

Honors Lieutenant Colonel R. Edward "Ed" Yeilding, a retired U.S. Air Force pilot who completed the fastest cross-continental SR-71 Blackbird flight on March 6, 1990 in 67 minutes, 54 seconds.

Yeilding has flown more than 90 worldwide operational reconnaissance missions, accumulated over 3,500 flying hours, and received multiple military decorations including the Meritorious Service Medal and Air Medal with Three Oak Leaf Clusters.

Alabama Department of Transportation is requested to erect appropriate signage to be funded entirely by private funds from the Yeilding Family or their friends, incorporating the Great Seal of Alabama and U.S. Air Force emblem if rights are granted.

The memorial designation does not alter the common designation "Cox Creek Parkway and Alabama Highway 133" and does not affect postal or address designations along the route.
