Recognizes the memory and public service of late Senator Hinton Mitchem of Albertville, Alabama, who served 36 years in the Alabama Legislature in both the House and Senate.

Names the Senate Agriculture Committee Room the "Roberts-Mitchem Senate Agriculture Committee Room" in his honor.

Notes Mitchem's service as President Pro Tempore of the Senate from 2007-2009 and as chairman of the Confirmations Committee, plus service on Agriculture, Finance and Taxation, Rules, and Veterans and Military Affairs committees.

Highlights his additional leadership roles as appointed Chairman of the Alabama Governor's Commission on Physical Education for 28 years and Chairman of Alabama Special Olympics for 18 years.

Memorializes Mitchem's representation of Senate District 9 (Marshall, Blount, Madison, and DeKalb counties), his retirement in 2010, and his death on January 22, 2013.
