• Amends Section 6-8-60 of the Code of Alabama 1975 to establish additional requirements for newspapers qualified to publish legal notices.

• Requires qualifying newspapers to have a principal editorial office located within the county, be printed in English, have general circulation in the county, and publish at least 51 weeks per year.

• Establishes that qualifying newspapers must have been publishing for at least two years and cannot be professional, trade, religious, or fraternal publications.

• Requires newspapers to upload legal notice publications to a statewide website at no additional charge and, if the newspaper operates its own website, to post legal notices there as well.

• Takes effect immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor or upon otherwise becoming law.
