HB136 Summary

• Proposes a constitutional amendment to allow the Mayor of Bay Minette to appoint up to two additional members to the Bay Minette Municipal Planning Commission created under Section 11-52-3, Code of Alabama 1975.

• The two additional members must be individuals residing outside the corporate limits of Bay Minette but within the territorial jurisdiction of the planning commission at the time of appointment.

• The two additional members shall serve the same terms and possess the same powers and duties as other planning commission members upon appointment.

• Election on the proposed amendment shall be held in accordance with Amendment 555 to the Alabama Constitution and state election laws.
