• Modifies renewal procedures to occur during December instead of September, and changes the deadline for renewal from March 31 to December 31 to avoid lapse of registration.

• Establishes "emeritus status architect" designation for registered architects aged 65 or older with 10+ consecutive years of registration who have retired from active practice, allowing fee-free annual renewals.

• Became effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor.
