HB20 Summary

• Authorizes the City Council of Millbrook in Elmore and Autauga Counties to regulate and permit the sale of alcoholic beverages for on-premises consumption on Sundays after 12:00 p.m. at licensed retail establishments including hotels, conference centers, and golf courses.

• Requires all alcoholic beverage servers at establishments granted Sunday sales authority to complete responsible vendor training as provided by the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board.

• Authorizes the City Council to permit the sale and distribution of draft beer by retail licensees of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board, with the exception that keg beer may not be sold for off-premises consumption.

• Applies only within the corporate limits of the City of Millbrook and does not repeal any existing city powers or authorities under state or local law.

• Became effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor.
