• Extends the supplemental privilege assessment and monthly surcharge on nursing facilities from August 31, 2015 to August 31, 2017.

• Maintains the annual privilege assessment at $1,899.96 per bed and supplemental assessment at $1,603.08 per bed from September 1, 2011 through August 31, 2017.

• Continues monthly surcharge of $43.75 per licensed bed beginning September 20, 2012 through August 31, 2017.

• Requires the Alabama Medicaid Agency to include assessed amounts as allowable costs in nursing facility reimbursement rates, with adjustments effective October 1, 2011 for the privilege assessment and May 1, 2012 for the surcharge.
