Adds Section 34-25A-7.1 to the Alabama Code to grant the State Board of Prosthetists and Orthotists authority to issue subpoenas and compel witness attendance and production of evidence in matters pending before the board or to investigate complaints.

Subpoenas must be signed by the board chair or executive officer and may be served by any sheriff, the board's executive officer, or any person authorized under Alabama Rules of Civil Procedure.

Subpoenas are enforced by circuit court upon application of the board or its executive officer using the same procedures as subpoenas issued by the circuit court.

Board may establish rules providing for enforcement and disciplinary action, including civil fines, against licensees or other persons engaged in prosthetics and orthotics practice who fail to comply with board subpoenas.

Act becomes effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor or upon otherwise becoming law.
