• Sheriff of Houston County's annual salary is set at 89 percent of the Judge of Probate's salary ($93,450), with future adjustments only as authorized under Chapter 2A, Title 11.

• District commissioners of Houston County Commission ratified to continue receiving compensation amounts effective December 1, 2004, with a $250 monthly expense allowance in lieu of mileage reimbursement for county duties.

• Act becomes effective on the first day of the first month following passage and Governor approval.
