Authorizes attorneys and accountants to place liens on property for professional services directly related to the ownership or operation of buildings or other improvements on land, based on a contract with the owner or proprietor.

Grants liens covering the full extent of the owner's right, title, and interest in the property, and extends to the entire lot or parcel in cities or towns, or one acre beyond the improvement if located outside municipal areas.

Excludes legal services related to real estate closings on the sale, transfer, or mortgage of land from the attorney lien provisions.

Amends Section 35-11-210 of the Code of Alabama 1975 to add the new lien provisions as subsection (b), maintaining existing mechanic and materialman liens in subsection (a).

Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
