Montgomery County Sheriff receives a $30,000 annual expense allowance, payable in equal monthly installments from the county general fund.

The expense allowance is in addition to all other compensation and benefits, and may be counted as compensation for retirement contributions.

Beginning with the sheriff's next term of office, the annual salary shall be $135,000 and the $30,000 expense allowance shall become null and void.

Effective date is the first day of the first month following passage and gubernatorial approval.
