• Proposes a constitutional amendment to the Alabama Constitution of 1901 placing most Etowah County Sheriff's Office employees under the authority of a Personnel Board within the Sheriff's Office.

• Exempts the following positions from Personnel Board authority: chief deputy, chief of detention, chief of administration, chief of investigation, director of communications, and food service manager.

• Amendment must take effect no later than the first day of the sixth month after ratification.

• Employee liability provisions remain unaffected by the amendment.

• Election on the proposed amendment shall be held in accordance with Amendment 555 to the Constitution of Alabama of 1901 and state election laws; House passed 16-APR-15, Senate passed 30-APR-15.
