Provides the Sheriff of Lowndes County an additional annual expense allowance of $10,000 per annum, payable in equal monthly installments from the county general fund, beginning the first day of the month following the effective date.

The $10,000 expense allowance is in addition to all other existing expense allowances, compensation, or salary provided by law.

Upon expiration of the incumbent sheriff's term, the annual salary for the sheriff shall be permanently increased by $10,000 per annum, payable in equal monthly installments from the county general fund.

The temporary expense allowance provision becomes null and void when the salary increase takes effect with the expiration of the incumbent sheriff's term.

The act becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
