• Removes requirement for corporate officers to notify the Department of Labor when electing exemption from workers' compensation insurance coverage.

• Changes corporate officer exemption from annual election to continuous exemption that remains in effect until the officer actively revokes it through written certification.

• Requires officer seeking to revoke exemption to file written certification with both the employer's workers' compensation insurance provider and the department; revocation becomes effective on the first day of the calendar month following written acceptance by the insurance provider.

• Allows workers' compensation insurance providers to require officers revoking exemption to execute affidavits verifying they have not suffered any employment accident, exposure, or injury since the exemption date.

• Effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
